Despite the depersonalizing that technology has done to human communication, I am delighted to see opportunities like these! In one lifetime we’ve gone from telephones corded to the wall to face-to-face, across-the-ocean tea parties! What fun!
While Amara is less than a mile away we often start our mornings with a Google hangout! Grampy taught her how to tie a tie over Google last year because her Dad didn’t know how! I love technology! Being new to your blog I am curious as to who is in Maryland and who is in Ukraine?
Technology is most amazing…I have very little idea HOW it works, but I am so thankful that it does. My husband and I are in Kyiv, Ukraine where we moved as a family of five in 2001. Our oldest daughter moved to Kathmandu as a missionary about 10 years ago, her younger twin sister married a Ukrainian and they live in Maryland with their three children, our youngest, a son, also married a Ukrainian and they also live in Maryland. Less than 30 minutes from each other. WONDERFUL for us that they are all so close when we travel back to the States! Thanks for asking! The tea party is our daughter-in-law Dasha and their two little ones…

It was a joy catching up with them! Of course with the time difference, WE were having afternoon tea and THEY were having breakfast!
