Family time at Disney World

It's the truth
Wow…I may have just had one of the best family vacations EVER. Seriously.

A story a bit too long to share in this particular post, but, bottom line, we were blessed with a day at Disney with my sister, her husband, their daughter and son-in-law, our kids, their spouses, and our five grandchildren. Crazy.

The good news is that personally we didn’t have any real expectations for how today might look. Honestly, there is no way that all of us could be in the same place at the same time for most of the day.

But time with each family was so very special.

To spend time with my sister and her family enjoying the same things that our family had always looked forward to…my dad LOVED Country Bear Jamboree, among other things, and we were able to enjoy that show together. My husband simply loved being part of what made US happy. How sweet is that?!

We were blessed with riding It’s a Small World TWICE…once with each of our children’s families. The joy in their faces. One grandson adores musical instruments and I had no recollection of how many different drums and other instruments were in that production. But I do now. He pointed out each one.

Another grandson had a dream come true…actually he probably never even dreamed this experience could even be a possibility. He was chosen to be one of several children to be coached in pirate fighting by none other than Jack Sparrow himself! His obvious joy in performing a real-life pirate fight had the entire audience as excited as he was…jumping up and down at the end.

Upon returning to our resort, several of us gathered together in a hot tub and shared experiences of the day. Couldn’t have been better.

Blessed beyond my wildest expectations.

Thankful for such an amazing Thanksgiving Day.
